  • Ha, I didn't even know he was an Arsenal fan but it couldn't be any more apt.

  • A slow burn this giro but today delivered. So many what if’s remain, it seems an age ago now that both Remco and Tao left, who knows how the race may have looked had they remained.

I think the smaller team sizes really improve things, particularly when there was so much illness and rider withdrawals and how that impacted tactics. De Plus was immense yesterday and today, same goes for Arensman. Ineos are stacked. Wonder if Rog will go for the vuelta now.

  • Now it may be Internet bollox, but I hope that it is true that the fella who gave Rog a push after the sramechanical was a former team-mate from his ski jumping days.

  • I don’t think I wrote him off completely.

  • The Giro twitter team have had a good race too.

  • Confirmation that the final time trial was a good idea
Patrick Lefevere described the Monte Lussari mountain time trial as “a circus,” saying he was “300% against” the course design

  • T'wasn't you, twas he that shalt not be @'d, you doubted him for good reason (against my less than better nature I went back and checked).

  • Unless Remco was still there and won. I am enjoying the noxious Lefevre trying to hang on to Remco and building a GC team around him, whilst ignoring his classics team. Hopefully the rats will desert the sinking shit.

  • I was travelling yesterday so watched late.
Was a great stage looked brutal and that last downhill bit looked hairy with presumably max HR on the go, there were some great faces being pulled through those tight fast corners.

    Spun it and won it.

  • Nice of them to put the finish at half time in the football.

  • Cav made that look easy

  • Cav!!!!!

  • What a finish

Lol, whole peleton giving him high fives

  • Are Cav!
With a long turn from G!

  • That was great. What a gesture from G.

  • That was incredible, very Wiggins/Cav-esque from back in the day.

  • Tour worth watching now

  • That was great. Actual fist pumps as he crossed the line.

  • Had anyone else ever had 15 years between their first and last GT stage win?

  • Just caught up with the stage. That was great! And that turn from G at 2k to go, saw him at the front when everyone else dropped back and thought it might be an attack but the nod of the head to Cav with a “follow me, I got this” then onto the front was great. Glad he got his win finally

  • I watched the last 4km at dinner not a clue about result. Amazing. Great to see Jakey Stewart involved too.

  • Yep - 9km, G lead out, Cav win...then back to the PL. Great afternoon.

  • Yes. It's a very easy guess.

  • That was just beautiful.
