  • Typifying the current uk mood

  • tiny can of fanta spotted at TOB

  • The race jury need to go back to Barnard Castle to test their eyesight.

  • Sure, Remco...

  • Stock Bro pissing off foreign riders now

Mathijs Paaschens on the tactics of Alex Richardson in the
    @TourofBritain
stage 3 finale: “If he’s going to race like that, he might as well stay home"

  • What a rollercoaster finish

  • wtf just happened

  • So does Evenepoel get the same time as the peloton?
Does Roglic get the same time as the group that he was in when he crashed?

Does Roglic have any original skin left at this point?

  • Mad final 5km.

  • He looks well bloody, not sure someone can recover from that in the last week and win back the 1,5 minute he needs. Also not sure Remco had a real mechanical there, but that's just wishful thinking ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

  • Feel well sorry for Rog.

  • Yes!

Edit: who cares about tour the puddles when you have Vuelta De La Mads P

  • To be fair to the guy he was riding for the win and just didn't have the legs. Paasschens wanted the overall so of course was pissed that AR's 'tactics' threw that up the wall but it's not really AR's job to ride for anyone else.

  • puncture-gate...

  • Classic that after a riding a few Nat Bs he actually thought he could win a stage....

  • Me too - that was heartbreaking to watch

    Definitely a fake mechanical

  • Hope Roglic is ok and can make the next week exciting.
On a lighter note, I do hope Ackermann is starting a trend and more riders will do post-race interviews with their jerseys off.

  • How come the 3km rule also includes mechanicals/punctures? I can see the point of having a rule about crashes, but mechanical issues seem like a wholly different issue.

  • It doesn't apply on uphill finishes where there's no reasonable assumption that the rider would have got home, without the mechanical, in the same time as the group. I suppose it is to avoid, as would have happened today, having the GC turned upside down because of chance, albeit chance with 3 km to go rather than 3.1. And to discourage continued fighting for places from other riders when the sprinters are getting ready. Though since Roglic made the (unofficially) uphill nature of the finish today work to his advantage it's not always clear cut.

  • That was so Rog.

  • Roglic DNS confirmed.

  • Hope Mas can put Remco under some pressure then, guess Movistar gonna Movistar though.
