…. Remco shoots back up into contention … !

It seems the regional authorities in the Tarn region have barred the race from going ahead today because of the heat, but the neighbouring region of Aveyron have no such ban in place, so the final 34 kms of the stage, all in Aveyron, go ahead as planned.

@reply me again and you're out of the Tour squad.
-
• #40205
What a weird situation
-
• #40206
Yes, it's odd. It's the talk of the Tarn.
-
• #40207
Aren't these kind of weak puns beneath you Will?
-
• #40208
I don't get it.
-
• #40209
Was a sincere question, not another pun!

bdhu

• #40211
Sincere/Sancerre? Not really getting it still.
-
• #40212
Anyway. Some teams are desperate for points so I can imagine there will be that pressure on organisers to keep a race going when only the announcer and half a sprinter is left in it.

• #40213
Talk pun was well played.

Pogacar just casually riding the peloton off his wheel in Slovenia.

carapaz has decided to never win a GT again

Doesnt bode well for our huey

Extremely Foolish

Chasing the money, good for him. He couldn't beat a Bora GC rider with Ineos backing so he probably wasn't going to win one again anyway.
-
• #40219
Finally an excuse for the golden POC
-
• #40220
I know he won once but he never really looks like winning to me whenever I see him race a GC. Just never seems to be able to impose himself somehow
-
• #40221
Pogacar was giving his new Pirelli tyre sponsors the “fucking SRAM” treatment on every descent today.
-
• #40222
Did wonder why they were going as slow as I go down all descents in all conditions
-
• #40223
I've never seen a stage win decided by rock, paper, scissors before.
-
• #40224
I wonder if he could get someone else's tyres printed up to look like his sponsors, sort of how pros used to get frames made by their favourite frame-builder and painted up to look like there team bikes back in the past?
-
• #40225
What they used to do at races like Paris Roubaix where they're using non-sponsor-correct tyres is just black out any marks or names with a black marker. Trickier to do with FMBs and Dugasts where the name is printed on the sidewalls, but they'd still give it a go.
La Route d'Occitanie reduced to a 30 kilometre stage today because of the heat.
