The Glasgow Worlds next year - which features pretty much every cycling discipline bar cyclocross - are being held on the 3-13th of August.

Right after the Tour, when the road worlds should be held.

What's the rationale for Worlds being right after TdF? Not being confrontational, genuinely curious.

It was the traditional date up until the 1990s, when the Vuelta was moved from April/early May to it's current September slot. The Worlds always used to be on the first weekend of August, which was great as it meant that both the one day specialists and the stage race specialists would arrive at it on form.

I think the date change this time is to incorporate the other disciplines and to ensure that the weather is halfway decent (never a given in Glasgow in August mind).

I think it's a cool idea to do every few years. Not every year though as eg. Rwanda wouldn't be able to host all the events and 2025 is going to be so good!

Yes! Enjoyed the finish to that stage, reminded me of where my in laws live. Did make me think how nice it must be to live somewhere dry in winter!
