I'm torn about the rain forecast this weekend. The race is nuts enough in the dry and whilst the mud would make it even more of a spectacle, it would mean a lot more chance of broken collar bones and hips

In that light maybe October is not such a stupid date for future editions.

I was talking about this with @Bainbridge last night. How must it feel to be the fourth best cross rider in the World and know that you’ll only win when the hitters aren’t racing?

It must feel ok to get those wins at least and have plenty of podiums. Better than being the 8th best and being unnoticed.

Question: Have the P-R cobbles changed over the years? Either got worse due to years of traffic or got better with repairs or pretty much the same as ever.

It is sad, but what's more sad is if viewer ratings go down. I've definitely watched less CX races the last couple of years. I used to watch every race but I can't be bothered without wva or mvdp. And even with mvpd in there, races have been less exciting because of his dominance.
