I appreciate that the best rider in the race consolidated his position, but that wasn't dull by any criteria I can think of.

Not sure about Sep towing the stragglers up in the finale. Bit awkward to be chasing your teammate while he’s descending back to the team bus all wrapped up. Looks like a done deal but he may have gifted a few seconds to Mas.

He was stopping others, and in Yates case physically, from getting bonus seconds. They would’ve all sprinted for them anyway so it’s good tactics for Kuss to get them.

If anyone thought today was boring maybe they should start taking an interest in bird watching or ballroom dancing. What, finally, a great stage. I really want to see Roglic and Pogacar in the Tour next year.

I only watched the "highlights" on Eurosport. Eurosport highlights are bobbins.

Bardet goes for KOM on the first peak, they watch a replay and can't work out who got what, then cut away to ads before telling us.

Cut back, and Bernal and Roglic are out front on their own and there's only 50km and the final climb left - no indication of how it came to this.

Cut again, and there's 7km left.

Their 5 minute YouTube highlights have a strangely subdued CK doing a summary - surely they could cut and paste that into their hour-long efforts?
