I saw this and was like, no way! Both disc and campy?

I can’t quite believe it. I’m assuming the marketing team had a Campag-equipped Pinarello in for B-roll by mistake. But they could be launching the F14 with the switch. I don’t think they’d risk it as all training seems to have been done on rim Shimano. I almost care about this more than the racing.

what's "campagnolo" please
-
• #35831
I think they are just advertising some Pinarello on their insta; I dont like that team so I hope thats not true and they have to ride campag
-
• #35832
Campag won the tour last year
-
• #35833
I think if they have actually switched to campag it will because DA maybe no longer supporting rim brake.

Qhubeka-Assos get a new naming sponsor, Nex Inter. 5 year deal too.

Glad for them, they had a great Giro, hope they can successfully be a team that isn't a retirement home.

I’ve never had any insider knowledge on the subject if that’s what you thought!? I’m no more wise than the next man with what shimano are up to.
I’m still of the opinion that rim brake 9200 was definitely going to be a thing, but Shimano are having such huge problems with manufacturing I think it may Have been kiboshed to focus on getting Di2 out the door - purely my personal speculation though.

I always presume you have insider knowledge! :) (It was a convo in MGOF p129 IYI.)

They’re on the blockchain! Crypto-bros (this company has a crypto-gal at the helm) and pro cycling was bound to happen.
To the moon!

In designing the bike, Pinarello focused on handling, performance, and comfort first and foremost, with weight being of secondary importance.
yup...it heavy
-
• #35842
For a team supposedly focused on ‘marginal gains’ it remains a mystery why they ride this frame. Are pinnarello really paying them so much more cash than they could get from another bike manufacturer with a lighter and more aero frame?
-
• #35843
All the bikes weigh the same don't they?
If it's comfier and it's the same weight as everyone else bike that's a win.
Aeros, not so much win there. But aeros and comfort don't really go hand in hand.
-
• #35844
Pinarello frames have clearly been holding them back for the last 12 years.
-
• #35845
Pinarello pay them lots. Lots and lots. Means they can buy Lightweight wheels to offset the weight of the frame and have enough cash left over to get some testogels.
I geniunely don't know how Pinarello make them so heavy. But as Andy says, doesn't seem to hold them back at cycling uphill at a constant pace.
