  • Pyranees motorists are by far the most accepting of cyclists in my experience - have been cheered on by random passing motorists on long climbs many times!.... Mostly from the wound down window of a knackered old Fiat Panda.

  • That's great to hear. I'm planning on riding the Pyranees, looking forwaed to that even more now. From my epxerience Spanish and Italian motorists are sublime towards cyclists. French are horrible, but us Dutch are the worst. We have very little experience with sharing the road with cyclists. Mallorca is heaven, as the whole island seems to be into cycling and the local tourism is 80% bike tourists. Most Canaries are also very nice although Tenerife has too many British driving up to the volcano like maniacs.

  • this is good info, I am planning Basque in my head atm

  • Settling in.

  • Only ridden in Lombardy but drivers were much better than the UK when I was on the bike, when in a car driving in urban areas, not so much

  • “can you knock it back half a notch lads so we can gap the rest?” We knocked it up half a notch and poor Terry hung on for too long and blew his doors off.

lmao cyclists are such bad basturts (no shade I have also done this)

  • man it looks absolutely glorious round here. bernal not exactly got a blithe look on his face rn

  • Altitude donkey chat is my giro highlight

  • Who is the Team Qhubeka ASSOS rider riding for Bernal the last few Kms?

  • Not sure you can really call two bike exchange riders a train can you?

  • TBE rn

  • Think it's Wisniowski. Ex-Sky.

  • Ah OK, Chris Horner spotted the UAE Colombian riders helping Dani Martinez get back on yesterday so was wondering

  • What are DSM up to? Trying to set Bardet up for the stage? Or move him up on GC?

  • roche casually pushing 400+ watts. keen pace now here - another team knocking it into ineos has to be good for yates #isthiscommentaryorinsight

  • Some great shots on this climb

  • Just tuning in. Did I miss anything?

  • How come they're chasing the break so hard? Because Bardet is in it?

  • Aah Caruso is also in it

  • 28 seconds up the road

  • finely poised this - big shift required from caruso/bardet though. have to think yates will launch on the last climb now #commentary

  • Tense 🤫

  • Worst timed jab2 - have to leave in 30mins. Doh.

  • compelling

caruso looks good. bardet... not so much

  • This stage is mostly in Switzerland until the top of the Splügen?
