  • Paris-Roubaix postponed to weekend 2-3rd Oct

  • Which is the weekend after the Worlds, in Leuven.

Good to see the women’s race on the Saturday, means it doesn’t get lost in coverage of the men’s race.

  • Yep, goes well with the apple pruning season shortened by a month or two now.

  • Jake 'Jakey' Stewart to win in a heads up sprint vs Bouhanni

  • It's BMX but still pro... great, powerful article about Corey Walsh coming out.

  • I was just reading an interview with Taylor Wiles in Procyling magazine where she talks about how easy it was to come out in the women's peloton. It's obviously the same in football and other sports too.

  • The men’s peloton is notoriously progressive and inclusive.

  • MVDP won't ride Amstel Gold Race which is a pity, but maybe smart regarding his super stuffed calendar and MTB aspirations.

  • I’ve just discovered Velofacts on twitter and it’s got loads of interesting but quite possibly pointless little stats like the training rides done by RVV participants yesterday.

  • Yeah, I’ve started following GvA, Fred, Siv and a few others that appear to upload everything to Strava to see how they train pre and in season. Quite interesting.

Also, in the recent Sky vid I was surprised by Yatesy’s on-bus pre-race directions. He’s more forthright than I was expecting, appearing to contradict Rowey’s captaincy. And, Cara likes flowers.

  • Maybe not being on the team during the era when Dr Freeman was helping them all dope their tits off gives him more authority?

The only pros I follow on Strava are the ones who live locally. They never really seem to rip the tits off any of the climbs sadly.

  • Mvdp breaking another set of handlebars in the final 2k of La Samyn, anyone got an alloy spare he could use for Flanders?

  • You were watching a replay

  • Backed my horses for Sunday:

Van Baarle looks good value at 40/1
    Ditto Pedersen at 50/1

Obviously I think WVA will win but he’s been backed down to a ludicrous 11/4.

  • Are you sure that's Mads Pedersen? 50/1 is disrespectful

  • Yep...

  • Is Sags going to peak while WvA, MvdP and Jules are fatiguing?

  • I can’t see it personally but he’s got a hell of a team there with Bodnar, Oss, Burghardt and Pollitt.

  • 4th at MSR. Here’s hoping.

  • DNF'd in both E3 and Gent-Wevelgem, which doesn't bode well. The odds reflect that I think.

  • Trek Segafredo didn’t race Gent Wevelgem.

The weather looks a bit too nice for him mind.

  • I seem to be struggling to read this morning, a DNS is different to a DNF.

He looked way off the pace in E3, was one of the first out of the back when DQS attacked en masse on the Taaienberg.

  • ADSA,

Any reason DQS won’t do what they did at E3? With Jules in a free role, I guess?

Expecting any other team strategies? Or straight-up Galáctico warfare?

  • Was he not just covering attacks and protecting Stuyven? Like MvdP recently for Merlier? You can't peak every race. But yeah weather looks too good for MP

  • Well then I look forward to continuing my record of handing money to Bet365.
