I’m sure I recall some mad figures about him doing the last hour at 400w when he won Le Samyn solo but can’t seem to find it.

He’s like Lampaerts in that he’s got a huge engine but not necessarily the jump so he needs to slip away while others are looking at each other.

I've bought ex-Team bike before and it was essentially brand new because the rider had got sick and missed the season so it really does depend on each bike. It's not like they're all thrashed (but lots are).

Not without substantial impact to their marketability I'd have thought.

I wonder if there are some riders who dropped down to ProTeams level or lower who now wish they'd waited it out a little longer.

It’s not clear if Qhubeka-Assos will be a World Tour team next season though.
