Surprised it doesn’t happen more often, bidons everywhere. Also surprised no one picked the bidon up to auction it off.

Re. Geraint crash if you are GC you probably shouldn't be loitering that far back in the peloton even in the neutral zone exactly because random bullshit happens

I get Thomas had bad luck, but I dont really understand how Yates had such a poor day. He looked on good form in tirreno adriatico.

For me, there really isnt a stand out favourite anymore. Possibly Fulsgang (unconvincing over 3 weeks) or Nibali (35 and doesnt seem quite at this best)
