What happened with the Fuglsang Ferrari connection from earlier this year?

Nathan Haas suggested the white jersey should in future be awarded to best rider over 30 just to give them something to try for.

Such a great stage today. I'm not really ready for the Tour, but can't wait all the same.

Sticky bottle has a video of Remco's crash. Looks like memebrs of the public were the firste ones to go check as the front cars didn't stop.

Yeah, there's been lots on. dealwithit.gif

It looks more like paramedics (orange trousers)...I would imagine they weren't able to stop just before the bridge for fear of a pile on.

Tour de Walonie - Monday - the road furniture on the Walloon roads has been causing havoc. Low speed and high speed crashes the strangest of which was when a group of riders tried to cut across a residential driveway only to find there was 6 inches of gravel all nicely raked in the Japanese Zen style. Comedy slow collapsing.
Cav has dropped out the back on a minor berg with around 15k to go but he's trying to fight back on but it seems it won't be successful. -

"fuck off you wankers with your sycophancy, look what do did to Mathieu" (imagine him doing the wanker sign with the hand)

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Carapaz is going to get a late call to lead Ineos at the Tour.

Makes perfect sense. Bernal is out and Froome and Thomas haven’t looked great at the Dauphiné.
It’s a massive shame so many of the contenders have been injured in crashes.

Bernal isn't out.
-
• #26366
Let's hope he doesn't fall off at Emilia today - which is on Rai 2 only but will be streamed on Tiz. Tao is part of the team too.

Luke Rowe usual road captain
-
• #26368
Ahhh apologies. I’m struggling to keep up with all the carnage and its fallout.
-
• #26369
I do wonder if Rowe will make the cut. With Thomas, Van Baarle, Kwiatkowski, Castroviejo and, potentially, Tao Geoghegan-Hart, you’ve five riders who can do a job on both flat and mountainous stages. Given the route this year, that versatility may be key.

I don’t think any team knows it’s full line up yet. Strange times.
-
• #26371
Actually, looks like NTT have confirmed their line-up, the only team to do so thus far.
-
• #26372
What has happened with Rohan Dennis? I thought he would be a world beater at Ineos.
-
• #26373
The Worlds TT was meant to be on the last Sunday of the Tour, so he was never in the frame for Ineos’ Tour team as he’d need to drop out early.

He seems very good at always having them in the right place, just concentrates on his tasks making it easier for the leaders. Not afraid to ruffle feathers if required.
Do you think the others have enough experience to do that role even if they are stronger? -
• #26375
I don’t know. But the route this year is very different from previous editions as there is a distinct lack of sprint and transition stages, which might mean teams decide on a different team composition.
It’s idle speculation on my part really.
Fuck me. Just catching up on Lombardy.
