Wait, what?

You mean last stage race?
-
• #23279
Michał Kwiatkowski?

The GT comment. There are three GTs; the Giro, the Tour and the Vuelta.

Don’t forget the Welsh GT

And the popular MGB

Wasn’t there some talk that the mood and morale at Ineos being at an all time low?
Thomas doesn’t seem to have the same leadership qualities that Froome has, which might have an impact on his Lieutenant’s performance?

Probably something like this...

Can't we just call him 'J'? He's a close mate, after all.
-
• #23286
They are second and third on GC with a leader who is looking more and more likely to crack. Why would morale be low?
-
• #23287
I think its fascinating how the general opinion seems to be that Ineos are having a disastrous tour. Perhaps wait until Sunday before calling it, eh!

• #23288
use his full christian name, its doing wonders for julians all round the world, after years of bullying julians are becoming cool, just imagine how many french nippers will be christened that name in the coming year if he wins

When I used to teach in France, every kid was called Julian. Those kids would be about his age now – WILD!

I must say I am absolutely shocked Alaphilippe wasn't punished for being pushed by his soigneur.
Almost as shocked as anti-doping taking blood from four Jumbo Visma riders just 45 mins before the start of yesterdays stage. #tinfoiltitfer

They did tests with Deceunick and Ineos too, except they tested them before they left their hotels. They missed Jumbo-Visma at the hotel, hence doing the tests in the team bus instead.

what actual advantage did Allaphillipe get from a lethargic shove and how was he supposed to defend himself from it? What punishment would be fitting?
Relative to all the deliberate sticky bottles and car tows you get in any cycle race it's a bit of a storm in a teacup as far as I'm concerned... We could always revisit some of Sky's greatest hits of deliberately bypassing feedzone restrictions by getting other team mates to collect it and give them to Froome #marginallytriggered

• #23295
Ah, sorry, I meant 'multiple stage race' or something, of course. Surely there are five GTs though?
-
• #23296
-
• #23297
I think people would say there are officially 7

Wait. Is that J?
Calling any cyclist by one letter is of course never acceptable. Unless you ride on the same pro team.
-
• #23300
Well, P, you don't even ride on any pro team, so your argument is invalid. :)
He seems to have faded. Won the green jersey in Paris - Nice, 3rd in MSR then the wheels seemed to come off: DNF in the tour of the Basque country, then right down in the Dauphiné which was his last GT prior to the Tour.
