Eddie Dunbar signed by Sky. Pleased he’s got something sorted but wish he’d gone elsewhere.

Yeah, I guess given the angle I thought it was uphill or something and they were going slow

But yeah, replay shows them going down.

I’d imagine Sky are having a bit of a clear out at the end of the season. Good to see Dunbar getting a ride, am hoping a few other Aqua Blue riders get picked up.

Thanks for the vid
What does 'katzo de bici' mean, anyone know?
-
• #19256
"shit bicycle" I think, or "bicycle is shit" something like that. Definitely remember using "katzo" (cazzo) in school (went to school with lots of Italians).
-
• #19257
Isn't that something like fk the bike
-
• #19258
cazzo (pl. cazzi) [ˈkattso]: literally dick, cock, prick. Used in countless expressions to express a variety of feelings like anger, frustration or surprise in a similar way in which "fuck" and "fucking" are used in English.
cazzata: bullshit.
testa di cazzo: dick-head.
incazzarsi: to get pissed off. -

'cazzo di bici'. 'Fucking bike', would be my translation.
-
• #19260
Yeah, it was "testa di cazzo!" we used to use a lot in school :)

I can't take him seriously when he's angry or when he's winning. Poor guy.
-
• #19264
maybe he should make better bikes ..

Someone translated in the comments:
Cazzo de bici sa troncato il cambio.

Good breakaway win today, right on the line.

AG2R sign Larry Warbasse on a one year deal.
-
• #19271
Conor Dunne?
-
• #19272
I wonder how much Warbasse will be paid. It's a buyer's market. Or maybe he has a personal sponsor like Dan Craven had at Europcar.
I'd also guess that he did his cause a lot of good by doing the no-job tour; when there are so many riders of generally equal ability looking for work, the ones with the best social media profile have that little bit extra to offer a team. -
• #19273
I don't think he has a personal sponsor. He's a quality rider, but, like many north American riders, he's struggled with the constant fight for position that is a feature of European races, but is never an issue in the US.
He should be a good signing for AG2R, he's exactly the sort of support rider that Bardet needs for the mountains.

All of that, maybe, but I think even French teams are realising that good publicity isn't just about what you do in a race anymore. And it's ok to be English speaking if you live in France and don't ride for Sky.

That breakaway win was the most exciting I’d watched in a while. After seeing so many heartbreaks at the line the last few GT’s, it was so great to see that pay off.
Definitely descending.
