Would love to see some power numbers from that finish.

My quads were screaming just watching that!

Megalolz:
P.s. Eurosport commentary of the finish was useless, Haussler had won for about 5 mins.

A slightly easier* great win for Mohoric today at the GP Industria & Artigianato after killing it down the final descent into Larciano:
(* Easier for probably the best descender in the peloton, that is. Currently up on Eurosport Player for anyone wanting another lesson in his tucked down on the top tube pedalling thing.)

Likewise. Got literally 6 minutes of the woman's race after 114 of the fucking snookerball. Luckily the later highlights show did actually contain bike racing.. Worth waiting for.

Are you suggesting Jesus was doping?
Now, now, did he ever test positive?

Jesus Deepens the Scandal: Eat My Flesh, Drink My Blood (6:52-59)
Sounds like blood doping to me.

Great slo mo sprint yesterday. Wellens looked the fastest finisher but couldn’t get round in time.
Makes me excited for Milan San Remo. We seem to be blessed at the moment with so many punchy riders who can hang in on shorter climbs and sprint.

Great high speed sprint as well today ;) Groenewegen is (to me) increasingly looking like the man to watch this season.
-
• #15114
Yeah - impressive when goes long like that.
Couldn’t work out whether Demare sat up? Appeared to follow that little move by the QS guys and then lost his leadout man and cut his losses.

His win in the Tour has definitely increased his confidence and, equally importantly, the confidence in him of his team.
-
• #15117
Surely winning often is better for confidence than winning big?
Were there many top tier sprinters left by Champse Elysee last year?
Interesting that SB was Benoot’s first pro. Nice one to get the ball rolling. Will be interesting to see what sort of rider he becomes in terms of specialism.

Everyone except Kittel right?

Does it matter? He beat Greipel, EBH and Bouhanni, but you've got to make it to Paris to win.

He's really got that US Master crit racer physique going on; a bit of a unit.
-
• #15121
It does matter, yes. That’s a decent line up he had to beat, so fair play to him.
He’s clearly stepped up another level this year if he’s now beating Viviani, Kristoff et al. His win at KBK was utterly dominant. He was several bike lengths ahead.

He said last year he didn't yet know what type of rider he wants to be/become. Probably most Flemish folk want to see him win classics, but critics claim he would be a great GT contender. He's starting in the Tirreno tomorrow...

He was 20th on GC at his debut Tour last year.

Sagan, Kittel, Cavendish, Demare, Mclay, Trentin all DNF that year.
So you had Degenkolb, Swift, Boassen Hagen, Kristoff, Greipel, Matthews, Bouhanni, so still a pretty strong lineup to beat.

Eurosport going to an ad break as the riders hit the bottom of the final climb of the day at Paris Nice.
They hadn’t actually started the categorised part of the climb but the race was very much on.
I just came here to post it!
