  • I think the interesting thing is that they have done it without bc politics and interference . No clouded judgement objectives achieved.

  • Gaviria needs to stop crashing :(

  • I feel oddly flat and disinterested about the upcoming season. Hoping the spring Classics starting with a banging Omloop route will change that.

Still struggling to shake the feeling very few riders are fully on it for TDU and the middle eastern races.

  • I’m reasonably interested in the last 2 minutes of the early season races to see how the sprinter battle will shape up this year.

Excited that Gaviria, Ewan, Greipel, Sagan, Cavendish, Kristoff, Mclay, Kittel, Gronewegen(or similar), Demare all likely to be at TDF, so the sprinter stage battles are going to be immense.

  • Van Aert to ride Paris Roubaix after Verandas Willems-Crelan get an invite.

  • I saw that. I don’t expect a lot of him to be honest as he’s about to peak for the Worlds, then will need a rest after a long cx season. Hard to see how he can then get decent form for a 6 hour long race in a little more than a month.

  • We’re due a wet one this year SURELY. In which case, I wouldn’t rule him out.

    But I suspect you’re right.

  • Who cares about races in jan or feb. It’s a holiday in the sun for riders.

  • I feel oddly flat and disinterested about the upcoming season.

I hope the Froome thing get's sorted before the Giro start, don't want another 2011 Giro with some riders riding for second in case Froome gets banned.

  • Much as Sky are seeming to be defiant right now, I don’t think they’ll send Froome to the Giro if this isn’t resolved. There would be absolute mutiny.

Meanwhile we have live European racing on Eurosport :) Three weeks until Omloop!

Enjoying seeing the new kits actually. Movistar look good in their blue on blue. The EF Education helmet is hideous.

  • This year’s Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne is superb.

  • That's very pleasing.

  • Nice. Albeit ironic that it was Belgium where Napoleon was ultimately defeated rather than being the person doing the conquering.

  • That not Napoleon, that's POCs latest aero helmet.

  • But Pete's got it on sideways coz he's mad like that.

  • Pete’s not going to compete there alas

    Valverde looks like he got back in the saddle allright;

  • Podium girls gone from f1, it can't be long surely

  • In a break with two Astana riders, Luis Leon Sanchez and Fuglsang, and yet he still wins. Whatever happened to tactics?

  • Ha! They did a Quick-step with him? On the job now, will check the footage later hopefully

  • This isn’t a WT race yet they seem to have ear pieces in. What are the rules on that?

  • Valverde looking sketchy as fuck.

  • He got the win though.

  • Kwiatkowski taking on the mantle of Cancellara...
