Where in the GC standing was DM in last years tour before he broke his wrist? Or was he just targeting TT's ahead of Rio?

He was one of the favourites to take the next stage and the yellow jersey, finishing on the Mur de Huy and being just 6 seconds behind leader Cancellara.

And yes, Rio was his only goal.

I like Quintana a lot, but when you target two GTs in one year, I'm guessing you would need the right blend of team support and allies on the road. Few expected Dumoulin to clinch it a week ago, a much deserved winner on an unforgettable tour. For that reason and how the Giro is planned every year, I'm missing it already.

I'm also expecting Tom to become a poopular name in the Netherlands too.
