Catalunya stage today doesn't look like it'll give anybody the chance to get any time back.

So that'll be a flat stage, then, the elevations are about the same as Exmoor and Exmoor is a bastard for us mere mortals.....

Apart from Sky and Tinkoff teams, it's a pretty uninspiring start list.

Sure it wouldn't have hurt to chuck another mountain top finish in either. Yes, yes - plenty of time for that in the rest of the season. I'm just getting impatient.

Catalunya TV just about got it together for the last few KM. Valverde won a pretty big bunch sprint with a weird (looked like a try for himself and then pulled it at the last moment) lead-out from Rojas - to take the 10second bonus and inch slightly closer to the GC leaders from y'day's break..
