Crazy idea. In!
Swingers used to be a word to describe a particular group of people, when I was slightly younger than I am now. Has the meaning changed? :-)

@cafewanda .. tis in Shoreditch after all...

I am ALL OVER crazy golf. I bloody love crazy golf me.
I am afeared though that Shoreditch Swingers will be full of bloody hipster playing crazy golf ironically and not properly. Crazy golf is SRSS BZNN.
Clefty! Is there a nice/social route to Ealing or is that the words of a crazy woman. You had me at buffet, obvs.

Ok, did a bit of dino golf research this afternoon.
It's open every day from 9am until dusk. Cost is £8.50 each, or you can get a groupsave for 4 adults for £28 (so we could get a few of them if we have enough people)It's about 6 miles from Ealing Broadway, so the easiest thing to do would be for me to meet you at Ealing broadway and lead you there, then back to Broadway for Pizza and Pub.
Routes to Ealing can be nice until you hit shepherds bush, then basically you have two choices. Uxbridge Road, or Uxbridge Road then A40. First is a straight road with one not very steep hill, but you have to ride through Acton. Second I find quicker but is mixed A40 cycle path and more offensive, especially for groups. Once you get through Acton it's actually ok, but I wont lie to you Shepherds Bush to Ealing is a bit of a dump.
For the Southies, you could stay south of the river, then cross at Kew bridge and come up through Brentford - thats also a nicer route - I used to do that when I travelled between Tooting and Ealing.
Alternatively you could be really cheeky, ride to White City, then jump on the Central line with your Bike to Northolt which is round the corner, then we could ride back to Ealing and you could still do a cheeky central line to White City, ride to Shepherds Bush and if you were feeling really lazy take the overground to Clapham Junction.
I reckon a Sunday would be a better day than Saturday, but I need to check that Santa Maria would be open.
If I knock a doodle together for dates, who is interested? -

Interested! Good work!
-
• #16
I am too!

Me too!
-
• #18
I am too, but can only do in Nov.
-
• #19
I have a good route from Paddington to Ealing (well Southfields, but I can modify) which avoids most of the main roads, so I can lead a feeder ride.
-
• #21
I'm interested. November only though.
-
• #22
I am also fully booked every weekend in October!
-
• #23
OK, I'll do November dates only as it seems to be the consensus

Darn Nov is busy for me. So much cyclocross stuff going on, hopefully people will be able to make the one day I have available.

@pootsmanuva waiting for your vote lady!
16th Nov is currently looking like the favourite as everyone can make it.
Who mentioned this? Look. http://swingersldn.co.uk/gallery/
They seem pretty busy, announcing bookings for Jan 2015 out now... CRAZY
But group bookings from 10 to 90 guests with packages starting from min £20.00 per person (subject to minimum numbers) and include golfing, drink and errr... a scorecard, which I would expect to be pretty integral but they says it's included so that saves home printing...
It says it is a Golf Bar.
