Nope, didn't/dont know much about road bikes, gonna ride this for a while and see how it goes, then think about upgrading it. Tempted to upgrade the cassette for something that goes harder, only tend to use the bottom cogs so i figure one with a different ratio would be decent

@bengreen well done chap. find a really big hill and you'll hit 40plus no worries.
not sure on the accuracy of mapmyride but when i was running a silly gear on my track bike the highest it went up to was 48mph.
pretty hard on the knees stopping 49 15 though.
Sure the hill into sudbury on the dynamo sees some silly speeds at 2am, good excuse to do the dynamo ;)

Some prick took a swing at me at the end of Marriotts Way near Halfords this evening. Him and his chad mate were taking up the whole path and didn't intend on letting me past. Thankfully he didn't connect so I called him a wanker and kept on peddling. I'm going to carry a spare chain with me for next time.

You have to be a bit careful down there sometimes, there's some real dickheads that knock about round that way. I had to tell one to fuck off a few months back.

Probably sounds bad but I've always been surprised that I haven't had any trouble down there, often see some
unsavoury characters knocking about ; I used to see community support officers there but not for a good year or so

Biking most places round the city is hard work, I find going down magdalen street there's idiots walking in the middle of the road

There's quite a few pissheads that knock about down there, some of them from Magdalene Street, @Fixie17 , haha.

Is it just me that gets angered by people cycling on the road and then mounting the pavement if there's traffic?

Depends if its a dual use path, there are a fair few around the city. If its just a normal pavement then I agree.

Dual use is fine, but regular footpaths like ones in town is when it annoys me!

It depends what you consider to be dual use I suppose, there's plenty of paths in the city that I personally would label as dual use but they aren't marked up as such; it's the dicks that cycle on the narrow paths down St. Bens or Magdalen St. That get me.

No actually, it's the ones that walk their bike up St. Bens, wheeling their bike along the path whilst they walk in the road

I did see that, I thought I'd try here for a more coherent review. I do like my 'parts', the pain however? Not so much

If the Fizik works then I'd say just stick with it, but if you want something different style-wise then measure the Fizik and don't deviate from those numbers too much.
