I can recommend The House of the Trembling Madness pub and do a circuit of the walls if the weather is nice

Smashin' thanks. We didn't get a great deal of time in town (as Fiona's relatives live a few miles away in Tollerton/Easingwold) but got to Your Bike Shed for brunch, and stopped off at Spring Espresso just before catching our bus - both fine establishments. It was nice to just wander around being touristy in the time we had, but I'd like to go back in summer and properly explore/ascend the Minster without having to face the bitter cold!

If I can get a cheap enough rear wheel,bb and chainring I probably will at some stage. I'm in no rush though
-
• #337
I've got a lovely gold chainring if you'd like that for freeeeeeeeeee
-
• #338
Id love it! Need to check the bcd of the tri colour cranks though as I'm assuming it probably won't fit. Or I just htfu and run a 52t ring
-
• #339
Haha, it should fit, it was on a road crank so I think it's 110bcd

• #341
Is it not three...?
Alcohol should do it - not the drinking sort!
-
• #342
Nice, I was using nail polish remover but it's still proving rather difficult
-
• #343
I've got some brake cleaner in my garage, that would definitely do the job!
-
• #344
Might try a cocktail of things!
-
• #345
It looks right to me......
-
• #346
Yeah ethanol as @hudsoncjnr said.
-
• #347
Cheers guys. Nail polish remover was working well, it was probably more that I was using kitchen roll rather than a cloth to scrub it with. I'll try again tomorrow

"Sticky stuff remover" can be bought from DIY stores, and maybe supermarkets - it's mostly ethanol, but has some other ingredients. That or, hairdryer on hot then wipe.

Going to go hairdryer/nail polish/wipe I reckon

Excellent bit of crazy Dutch entertainment here!!

Force 9 gale, upright Dutch bike, headwind race - carnage!
I really need to stop treating my commute to work like a stage of the TDF, I end up spending the first hour at work cooling down!
