Nice, what are you doing to it?
-

Those forks look lush!

Is this your sofa?
-
• #38
If it is, I'm sure it's nice and spongey..
-
• #39
If it is, that's a frame and dessert fork!

I'm building it up to be geared, long distance single speed is fine and all, but I thought I might treat myself to the luxury of gears!
I'd like it to be period correct but until I can afford to do it and find out who the frame builder was it'll be a little bit cobbled together.@hudsoncjnr
Unfortunately it's not my actual sofa just a Mexican blanket. -
• #41
Sounds good! who the Framebuilder is was going to be my next question, tried the main forum?
-
• #42
It's a mystery frame like so many of my frames. I enjoy the research/am a glutton for punishment!
I may give the main forum a whirl but at the moment I'm just Googling and checking a few books. -
• #43
Nice, I love a good mystery frame. Any plans for the paint?
-
• #44
I'm still deciding on colour at the moment but I'm hoping to get it sent off to be painted in the next couple of weeks.

Awesome

It looks like a Holdworth La Quelda or a Claud Butler. Late 40s early 50s.
-
• #47
I checked out the La Quelda, the frame is very similar but no double crown fork.
The old Claude Butler catalogues are on the to-do list. -

Not a great picture, but this is the current guise of my orbeater. Would be cool to see your now probably updated bikes. I need to get a good snap of my road bike to put here too.
Oh brill, I'll head down this saturday and sort it out!
