you can actually use oval chainrings for fixed, so in theory the rear derailleur wouldn't be affected at all so you could just use the regular one

Hi, yup the 600 ax is not the smoothest of shifters the Dura ace 8 speed will be very nice, I have a pair of large flange Shimano hubs if that helps.
