jetski, your head tube would look massive too if your top tube didn't clearly slope.
ha, yes I know, but that's why I love that frame so much :-)
Nonetheless Uoenos headttube looks large. My frame slopes around 4cm, but it's starting at 63cm ctt, not 61cm ctt, that's why I'm wondering

With the brake issue, it might be my own personal caliper problem or the drilled hole. One could possibly drill the forks with a larger drill bit, just the rear hole on the forks, mind you.
The front hole on the forks is wide enough to fit the calliper. T
It is the rear hole that is not wide enough -
• #29
drilling out a hole is simple enough, you only need a home drill and 6mm drilling bit really..

Also just went to my lbs, they can drill the forks for you for a tenner.

take a photo of how high your saddle was?

The caliper will be for an old nut fitment brake, it's not the wrong size, just different.

What's hilarious is ueno is trying to sell this (at profit?) to buy a bike with a 60cm top tube... I just don't get it.

TM pls,
I bought the frame for £191, spent around:
£10 on travel to actually reach bromley to pick up the frame.
£5 on a new seatpost bolt/pin binder
£15 on a new bottom bracket + installation
£5 on getting the substantial amount of dirt that was lodged in the bb shell.
£10 on a new 27.2 seatpost.I'm not the greatest at Maths but that adds up to .. £236 plus as I mentioned in the OP, if anyone thought/thinks my price too high, I would reduce it. :)

Claud (which had a 54cm top tube) was ridden on with a 15cm stem because well the TT was a bit too short for me.
Hope you don't mind my dry sense of humour but I don't get what is funny about looking for a frame with a longer top tube as I wouldn't have to run such a gigantic stem on it. :)
PS,
The seat tube of that Dolan frame is 58cm, -

Why did you sell Dolan
-
• #41
Sold them 1" alpinas and couldn't find another decent pair of 1" carbon forks.

Can I ask how high the BB is ( and the wheel used...) . Any idea of the age of the frame?
Thx v much -
• #45
As for the BB height, I have no clue, only that it's quite some higher than a regular track frame. The wheels used were bought off the forum, just some simple 700c, 30mm deep wheels.
Erm, as for the age - the guy I bought it off said that he bought it in 1991 so my best guess is 23(+) years.
Apologies for lacking info.

Ah, now I get it what's so different compared to mine - the BB is higher, you can also see that the chainstays are almost parallel to the ground. Effectively this has a standover height like a ~63cm ctt then, therefore the long headtube, too.
This frame needs to actually ride track - seems like the previous owner was a bit over-cautious of velodrome pedal strike, therefore the BB height.
-
• #47
Yeah, the bb height is abnormal, everything about this frame is abnormal.
Anyone for £227?

• #48
Are you quitting bikes/fixie? Get gears!
Bump I guess -

Any takers for 225?
Might put this back on the Bay if no takers on here. ;/
ah man, i would have needed it with a front brake too. drill it to the correct size? does it look like it's never had a brake mounted on the fork before? weird.
