  • Great ride by nibbles. That cheers at the line was epic. But dick move for attacking when froome was having a mechanical. Can't wait for tomorrow

  • Boring and predictable. Pass.

  • Nibali is a cunt. He clearly saw Froome having a mechanical and tried to take advantage. Look at where football used to be in terms of good conduct and where it is now to see where that kind of dick move will take the sport.

  • Anyone who ever needs an emetic could trawl through the forum and find some of the garbage that was written on here about Cadel Evans - until he won the Tour, suddenly everyone had always, actually, secretly, liked him. Froome is a very polite, considered person. He's not funny like Wiggins is but then again you don't find yourself embarrassed by his childish petulance either. Oh and apparently he can descend. and ride on cobbles and handle a bike. Who knew?
Aside from the wheelies and hilarious bum-fondling, has Sagan ever advanced an interesting or original thought? And does 'G' still advocate the use of hocus-pocus magnetic bracelets? I always found that a sign of a lively, enquiring mind.

  • anyone know what the end credits music on the itv4 highlights program was today?

  • I do wonder where we draw the line of sportsmanship. For instance, punctures. Well they are a mechanical. Also - although it rarely happens - railway crossings. As in Roubaix this year. Also common in Roubaix, crashes. Whether direct involvement or being held up behind . Food for thought. I don't think Froome has anything to worry about today. He has enough of a lead over everyone else.

  • It's not like they didn't start the race though. Staying upright and out of trouble is all part of it.

  • You heart Froome. We get it.

  • Not seen the stage profile, what is it like leading up to Alpe d'Huez, and how far?

  • 40 mins max presuming you get past dutch corner and the pee running down the road for the past week.

  • Cheers hefty ;)
Goddam! Why can't you get emocions on this site! Lol! Should be a good stage I think. Fast with the Croix de Fer half way through. Froome isn't going to lose this race . I'd like to see Quintana give it the beans from further out than yesterday though. It would really open the lungs of the rest of the GC also-rans. Hope GT has a good day.

  • Today is gunna be soooo good. The KoM may spice things up, Contador has tried a few times with an early break to win on these hills before. And did Sky sandbag G to save him for today?

Quintana is shit or bust today, Movistar haven't seemed that interested in stage wins, so I reckon they're going for the overall win which means Quintana has to go early on.

  • He doesn't. He should've watched the video of the Alpe stage from 2008 to understand what he needs to do.

I'd expect Contador to go for a shit or bust move on the Croix de Fer. That would actually suit Sky as other teams would be more motivated to chase.

  • I've googled alp stage 2008, fetches up loads. Have you a link to the one you mean?

  • Because emoticons are fugly and get in the way of communication, providing a shorthand attempt at dialogue which would be better constructed in, you know, language.

Also note that we don't have fucking "sigs" here either.

"It's not about the bike, it's about the EPO"!! !!!!!

  • It was in reply to "why can't we have emoticons on this site ^^^^

But thanks for making my point!

  • He's getting confused in his old age.

    C.F.

  • Me? No fucking idea what you prattling on about?

  • Sastre's victory on Alpe d'Huez in 2008. He won the stage and, through the 2 minutes gained on the stage, the race.

He attacked in the first 2 kms of the Alpe, where its steepest.

  • Interesting reading thanks.

  • With that list of bikes, maybe it's not a bad thing! LoL, or summat. ;)

I think Mashton was referrring to my post . Poor old sod!

  • Yeah, me too last week in the Alps. It's been so damn hot that any new surface is just melting away.

  • Not seen the stage profile, what is it like leading up to Alpe d'Huez, and how far?
