The Sky is falling in...

G's GC position may be hard to maintain today
-
• #2657
Is it just me or has König not been much use? Seems to have been nearly invisible...
-
• #2658
Roche also seems to have been anonymous
-
• #2659
Have seen Roche doing a lot of work at the front on key climbs - yesterday for example - but less so with Leopold...

• #2660
Already has a hard GT (and 6th place GC) in his legs.
-
• #2661
Yeah, just realised that looking up his recent history.

It's almost impossible to gauge the value of the work of domestiques from TV pictures. Plus we don't know what role Sky had in mind for Konig in this race.
It'll reform a bit in the valley now, so I'd imagine one or two Sky riders will get back on.

König (ha) and Thomas are back apparently. Will be interesting to see if they're short of form or were just caught cold. Definitely not going to have 1-10 rolling over the line together today at least!

^^ Yeah that's what I was thinking, right? GT has clearly been incredible in the mountains but if Sky burn off domestiques in order of say Konig, Roche, Porte and then GT each day then of course Konig is going to seem underwhelming, but TV won't have shown him upfront protecting CF for the first 90km of the stage etc. So GT may be stronger yes, but he also may very well be the last one asked to get in front for Froome...

Sagan riding his arse off to get to the intermediate sprint. So good
-
• #2666
Are Porte and Roche being saved for tomorrow?
-
• #2667
All Sky riders left in the race are in the main group now.
I wonder who'll pay for that burst of activity later?
-
• #2668
The whole autobus appears to be back in the main bunch
-
• #2669
I'd be surprised if Nibbles doesn't crack, seeing the way he's lost contact on most of the other days
-
• #2670
Competing for the intermediate sprint today seems a bit daft. Given the amount of up.
-
• #2671
Ouch that looked painful
-
• #2672
Sky have found a willing ally in Lotto-Jumbo.

• #2673
brace yourself ladies

"For sure, we will ride for 6th"

Right now all sky's team are together. I think that first climb was a bit early.
Porte and Adam Yates already blown
