Bonuses are back. I'm going to believe all the rumours in future.

If they make some rule that says explosive Spanish climbers get a pass for the cobbled stage, then we know for a fact that Joaquim Rodriguez personally designed the route.
Meh.
-
• #30
why don't you go do some star jumps?
-
• #31
how the fuck is Wiggo supposed to win it this year then?
-
• #32
On the cobbles, like Nibali last year.
-
• #33
Better hope Rodriguez has one of those exploding Canyon fork steerers...
-
• #34
why don't you go do some star jumps?
Go and what some what-whats? I don't get it. Is it a sport thing?
-
• #35
Froome already thinking of skipping this TdF
-
• #36
I thought you were into 'fitness' these days rather than sport..
-
• #37
I don't even get the whole 'fitness' thing. Not even in the Darwinian sense of tessellating with your environment.
I still ride a bicycle though, often a fixed wheel one. Didn't they use to do that in the TdF, before it was cool?
-
• #38
Yes I know you do - I have the pleasure of riding one with you from time to time. Sorry I couldn't make last night by the way, family stuff.
Anyway. Back to the sports talk.

Cobblers

Froome talking about targeting the Giro and Vuelta and skipping the Tour, doesn't like the TT-lite route and all those nasty MTFs
-
• #41
Really? Up the Chaussy followed by the Glandon down the Croix de Fer and down the Mollard before La Toussuire is not only challenging for the directeur sportives in their cars then. Epic stage.

While I love a bit of pave, I do wonder if ASO might have scored a bit of an own-goal here, if some of the main contenders do opt out because of it.
-
• #44
And call me flipping crazy, but if Froome doesn't ride it for those reasons, might Wiggo instead? I know he's now thinking about Rio and the track, but one last hurrah at the TdF tempt him? He clearly wanted to go this year, it is maybe the one event he could want to really focus and prepare for.
Not that I'm saying he could win it, but still...
-

You're flipping crazy.

I know Wiggins often says one thing, then does another, but he's been unequivocal in saying his days of riding GTs for the classification are over.
Plus, with just 13 kms of ITT, he'd never be able to build a big enough lead to defend.
-
• #47
I don't understand why Froome wouldn't want to ride. Is it just some PR game?
-
• #48
Chaussy ist ein Bummelpass mit großem b.
Und schlechte Erinnerungen an La Toussuire.
-
• #49
Can we please stop talking about Wiggins doing the Tour.. please..
-
• #50
Empty threat - Sky won't let him do that. I think he was hoping for more ITT so that he can even out the advantage of Quintana.
ugh. Lame (not cobbles - the whole parcours).
