Cound and Porte have now both said that reporters are acting immorally/unethically in questioning Froome's/Sky's "cleanliness." I think there are two problems with this, but I could be wrong. First, it reminds me of another cyclist who tried to take some sort of moral high ground when these questions were raised. Second, if lies are being published there are legal mechanisms for dealing with them (as Henderson knows).

Froome, I must say, is handling the situation amazingly well.

If that cunt hadn't lied, bullied and cheated on such a grand scale, we wouldn't be in this situation.

Bretagne-Seche's Sepulvada was DQ'd today, for hitching a lift in the AG2R team car for 300 metres after his bike broke.

The really galling thing about today is that what should've been the big story, MTN-Qhubeka's stage win from Cummings, is now in the background.

Speaking of which did anyone see Cav giving Porte a big push to help propel him along the outside of the peloton back to the front with some water bottles? It was the cutest thing ever! No longer team mates but still buddies.

Sepulveda was in my fantasy team and slowly climbing up the GC. I'm sad for him and now I may finish 38th instead of 33rd so I'm sad for me too.

Maybe Sepulveda thought that because of the thing about getting a mechanical within a few kilometres of the line that it would be alright? It's hard to know how you could do something so monumentally stupid. His manager seems to have be pretty disappointed too, as you'd expect:

You've ridden 180km, it's hot, you don't want to break your neck walking up 14% ramp in speedplays - you're liable to make the odd mistake I reckon.

His DS should take some of the rap for not seeing him. But pretty silly going any distance in a team car.

Couldn't he have got one of the yellow Mavic bikes? Surely the mechanical means that he wouldn't have lost time waiting for one. Were there no teammates who could have pedalled back and lent him one?

Sepulveda was in the break wasn't he? Not sure there were any of his team about. Madness jumping in a car either way.
