  • After knowing Dwayne for a number of years and members of his close family I had the sad news given to me by his step son who is a friend and customer in my shop that Dwayne passed away 2 weeks ago.
He had recently gone back to Philly after suffering some illness unknown to me and I was told he was being treated out there.
But sadly passed away due to complications of medicines etc.

Such as sad loss to his family and friends and the lfgss community.

My condolences go out to his family

    RIP

  • Terrible news. Really shocked.

  • Sad news, always remember him having a smile on his face and lovely bikes.

    RIP

  • rip

  • He was one of the first people I met from the forum.
    RIP Dwayne.

  • Same here - I think I was picking up a 531 awesome t-shirt from him at the time.

    What a shock.

As cake said it always cheered me up to see him and he had some absolutely beautiful bikes.

    RIP Dwayne.

  • RIP Dwayne

  • Oh shit, no way. :(

Dwayne was such a nice bloke, really friendly and helpful.

Condolences to his family. RIP mate.

  • I hoped I'd read that wrong, but sadly not.

    RIP Dwayne, proper gent.

  • Horrible news, I purchase a T-shirt off DMZ too, nice guy. RIP.

  • This is terrible news. He was a lovely guy. Always friendly.
    RIP Dwayne.

  • What a wonderful time was had at the GSIAD a few years back.

RIP Dwayne. Condolences to his family.

  • That's very sad news. RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

  • Oh this is so sad. Dwayne was one of life's absolute nice guys - friendly, charming, funny, totally genuine and a pleasure to be around. When you hear this kind of news you spend the next days and weeks with memories popping into your mind, which I know will happen with Dwayne. I last saw him last year when we rode down to see Murtle, a nice day to remember.

Sincerest condolences to his family and good friends. RIP Dwayne, you will be missed very much indeed.

  • Really sorry to hear this. RIP Dwayne, a true gentleman who will be missed by many.

  • This is really shitty news. Last time we hung out was a great night with him at the reej last summer. He lost his phone but was still a blast. Such a bummer.

  • didnt know him besides on here and to me was a very nice guy with impeccable taste in bikes, with a love for anything mavic. DAT CORRADO. condolences to all his loved ones!

  • So sad, I am literally lost for words.

  • on the verge of tears. Dwayne was lovely, helped me build one of my first wheels way back when, and it was always lovely to see him ride up to south's or out to west's on one of his lovely, lovely bikes, always immaculate, and always looking too nice to ride.

Had some great times with him on a couple of Tweed Run's and he was always super dapper. Knowing I'll not get a chance to compliment him on his bikes or buy him a pint makes me sadder than I could ever imagine.

As @Markyboy said he was one of the good guys and always willing to help out or get involved in whatever forum nonsense we had planned.

Maybe one day I'll build and maintain a bike as fine as the ones @dmczone had...

  • One the nicest guys on this forum and a true gentleman... RIP Dwayne.

He will always be a big part of LFGSS in his own very quiet and polite way.

  • RIP Dwayne
He was always such a welcoming and lovely man.
    My condolences to his family.

  • Oh crap… great pic that Ved, I swapped that cap with Dwayne for a 531 T - A proper gentleman in both senses of the word and super generous with his time and immense knowledge

  • RIP Dwayne, this is a very sad day.

  • Absolutely shocking news. What a sad, sad loss. So many good times with Dwayne - at South's, at West's (when he turned up on his beautiful Peracinni that he bought for £250!), a New Year's Day jumble at Herne Hill where we all near froze to death then headed to the Regent to warm up, regular tool exchanges at Waterloo.

    I'm literally lost for words.

  • Speechless.

I saw him this time last year at our wedding. Just one of the nicest, most intelligent and gentlest people you could ever meet. So many nice memories.

I am stunned and profoundly saddened. A great hole has be left in the LFGSS community.

    Rest in Peace Dwayne.
