  • Yeah. Those shoes are rad.

  • I've just bought a replacement pair as my old ones are worn through:

  • Trainers thread >>>>>>>>

though the inhabitants may tear you apart.

  • Trainers thread is fashion, these are function.

Which is a good point about the rear end of the bike tbh - the aesthetic should be driven by the function of the tubing used, not the other way round.

    In my view, anyway.

  • ^ So which should he use then?

  • The new one, obvs.

  • Mk1 had the old style, and it worked great, til I crashed it.

And this bike is all about aesthetics... I didn't choose the HSS downtube for its ride properties, I chose it cos it looks badass.

  • can't tell if photoshop or a crimes against humanity...

  • Those downtubes are tres-rad, chain stays also.

That will accelerate like a rocket.

  • hope this is all repaired, currently stalking all the Talbot build threads, at some point in my life i need one of these frames.such pretty much wow

  • Not updated this thread in ages!

This is gonna be in bespoked next week, so I'm doing some fancy new paint on it. Should hopefully get it all finished tomorrow so I can give the paint a few days to harden before it gets re built ready for next weekend!

  • Win win! Looking good mate! Can't wait to see this at bespoke now!

  • What happened to it?

  • I crashed the original one into a MTBer at full whack and bent the frame.
This one is basically the same but with the chunkier HSS downtube.

  • Paint all done. Just waiting on Parlee mech hangar to turn up so can build it!
Managed to drop an Allen key and mark the paint already tho...

  • them trainers are not in the shot for no reason arent they? got a commission from asics?;)

  • Looks good, dear boy.

  • A freind just asked me on instagram if i painted the bike to match the trainers... It is actually a genuine coincidence!

  • Looks phenomenal, looking forward to seeing it built up. Have to say boreks Canondale is still my favourite of yours though.

  • Thanks dude! Will post some photos from the show when it's all done.

  • Got this all finished up last night.
Super happy to have gotten the chunky 28c tyres on equally chunky wheels fitting in with no clearance issues on the DA brakes.

Can't wait to ride the damn thing after Bespoked. I'm sure some better photos will surface from the show over the weekend.

  • Such a nice bike. The cabling with the direct mount rear brake makes it look so clean. love it.
