  • I'm just west of elektro... server is full.

  • I will be on soon, all this moving house/starting work/fishing trips malarkey is currently leaving me with very little time...

  • Not quite the same without you BRO (safer, some might say).
Pleasant night last night and we both got out alive. Cooked up some chicken on route to NWAF with gun fire in the distance. Played it super careful and finally spotted 3 geared players at the base we all killed each other all that time ago, I had them in my sights but didn't fancy a 1v3 fight (Dimi had no weapon) despite Dimi's enthusiasm for a massacre. I think we've changed, like in the walking dead, we have hardened up a bit... Still can't shoot for shit though.

  • Good session! It was pretty tense hearing their gunfire move as went along. Lucky you spotted them really – could have easily ended in the usual way.

  • Yeah defo, to be honest if I hadn't scouted ahead we would have run straight into the three of them and their hail of bullets.

  • I'll try to jump in again today or tomorrow to gear up a bit and find a gun... Will log out in the same area.

  • Awesome. Doubt I'll be on tonight sadly but will try early next week. Will keep to that area too.

  • Where's @Well_is_it ?

  • Was a good session yesterday. Was only about an hour and a half but we made it up to north-west air field via the Stary Sobor military tents where I managed to find a mosin...

Got to NWAF and scoped the place out from a high field about 650 meters away from the tents.
Chris spotted at least one person amongst the tents who appeared to exit left of the screenshot above. I ran in pretty much straight up the field and as I got to the tents, what I thought to be a zombie turned out to be a rather geared player who immediately starting shooting at me.

Dodged between some porter loos and zig-zagged my way out as Chris provided cover fire to keep them busy.
We re-grouped, left the area for a bit and came back once things had blown over a bit.

Same tactic, with Chris camped out in that spot keeping an eye on things.
I went in more carefully this time and managed to hit about 6 tents, finding and AK101 and some other bits and bobs. All good.
Then came "You've got company, dude".
Not ideal. Mosin was chambered with single rounds and the AK hadn't been assigned yet so I just snuck out between tents hoping they wouldn't spot me. Managed to get out without a single shot being fired and got back to the vantage point where Chris had started taking pot-shots at the two people, injuring one and generally just giving them something to worry about. We then GTFO and called it a day.

  • It's almost like we are getting better at this or something. I think there might be issues with Magic Keyboards and bootcamp hence zeroing not working too well. Just measured the distance using http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#7.036.047 you are pretty much bang on! I thought we were way closer than that, no wonder I was barely hitting a thing zero in at 150m.

    GG BRO. GG.

  • Next time, heli crash sites.

I need a scope as well.

  • Graphics are great in the latest update:

  • Wait, you're kidding, right?

  • Yeah, that's just a holiday photo.

  • Come back into the fold and you shall find out...

  • Ha I had looked at that on my phone and thought it was legit

  • To be fair, I was there in person and almost fell for it.

  • So this look pretty sweet, I don't know if my Laptop will be powerful enough to run this.

Does anyone have an idea before I buy it...

    I have a
    MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014)
    1.4 GHz Intel Core i5
intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB
    OX Yosemite

Sorry I have no idea when it comes to gaming on a pc/mac.

    Hopefully someone can help.

  • Sadly not.
This game is super CPU intensive, usually when folks say it won't run they mean it'll run bad, but in this case, you'll be lucky to move at super low res. I played on a MacBook Pro with an i7 and a 650m and cooked it.
You'd also have to bootcamp you Mac (put Windows 10 on it).
If you do Bootcamp, and buy it, you could try (I wrote a guide on how to optimise for Mac laptops) and if it still didn't run well enough Steam offers refunds (Steam is an App store for games thats cross platform).

  • I'm getting all misty eyed reading back though this thread. Just need to go kill @CYOA now...

  • Doesn't look like you have enough grunt in CPU or a discrete GPU, so no.

Oh and it is currently windows only.

  • No problem, thanks for the heads up guys!
