Zombies are back in force (experimental).
I was in the Military Base that we always hit on the West and heard a rifle reloading. I'm on my laptop (8 fps at times) and have no mic, so I am pretty sure I know how its going to turn out. Typed in global and all was cool, we ended up running together for about an hour until I was KOS by some asshole as we sat around a camp fire (my new found friends avenged me though).
Anyway, Zombie, holy shit they are back The must spawn once some get aggroed because we had to run from a horde, what you see here is maybe a 1/3 or a 1/4 of them, we'd already killed loads (I had gone though apprx 70 9mm rounds).

I just started shopping for parts for my refit - should prob not derail thread, but, where did you buy cabinets etc from? I think I can retile and replace the sink, might leave off pulling the floor/toilet/bath up.

@CYOA @Vesalius oh god, I'm getting emotional, it's like the good old days, the guys, the BROs, back together. Ok, maybe I'll give fallout a go, but only so I can join in on the video games thread and once everyone's done with it and looking for their next hit I can just casually drop in with "oh, have you guys heard of a game called DayZ? I'm pretty into it, you should give it a go..." Like that wasn't my plan from the start.

Look forward to it, those big meets were so much fun. I really need a new setup, my current one is struggling these days, not sure if that's just an issue with experimental. It's on it last legs though, I'm pretty much limited to older games now.

Those were some good times, I wish we had more of them on video, pop an emotional soundtrack on them and a brown filter and UI could watch them all afternoon. It always amazed me how calm you were under fire. I haven't uploaded a video of a big fire fight I was in because I was screaming like a girl the whole time and it is wildly embarrassing. Also very drunk and sound like Mark Corrigan.

P.S. Buy a second hand iMac, mine runs it like a dream.

Checked in on experimental for 15 mins last night. It seems much better, rubberbanding and dsync appear to have been fixed, it's almost playable again. 0.59 stable can't be too far off, it should be a good one. When is the -newui going to stable? That seemed a bit broken to me.

I saw you were on, had to resist messaging/joining as I knew i'd get sucked in for hours.
I've been playing exp a bit and new ui, both are amazing. performance issues are a thing of the past for me. Have been recording a bit too but am yet to edit and upload. Had a real fun run a few days back where I spawned into Elektro and met some random really geared guys, ran with them for a bit then had to leave them as my vision was blurred due to hunger and injuries from a previous axe fight THAT I WON.
I had given up on life so swam out to an island to spend my last few hours in peace, turns out some asshole was already there and he tried to axe me in the head, even after I did the friendly dance. I could barely see (so blurry) and had 4 bullets for my CR75 and no mag. Dropped him on shot 2. What did I find in his rucksack? HUMAN STEAK.
