No doubt he'll be there.
I guess these are his rivals in a late sprint: From fast finish to hard finish;
Bouhanni
Degenkolb
Ciolek
Gilbert
RodriguezAnd Matthews

Yep.
Probably slotting in there above Coilek? I've not really seen much of him other than the Giro.

Sagan as bottle carrier?
Maybe at $axoTinko££

That would be because of...

He raced the giro fresh from the womb? :0

Anyone got links to live coverage?

Am I the only person wondering if Contador really did ever have a broken leg?
-
• #35
Nope....I don't get it either. How do you break your leg and keep riding, maybe adrenaline kicks in to an extent but does it help that much? Then to 'recover' from a bone break so quickly...call me a cynic, but I smell something fishy.
-
• #36
Didn't he just crack his tibia? If so, don't see why he couldn't keep riding for a bit.
-
• #37
Anyway - I quite like Bouhanni but he wasn't exactly racing the top tier of sprinters today.
They all seemed to be getting their pants pulled down by Kristoff.

you can only beat whats in front of you. he made that look easy

I will find it hard to like Michael Matthews as long as he goes round calling himself Bling Matthews. Silly cunt.

Notes from watching the first 3 stages of my first Vuelta
- Well done to ITV for broadcasting it but your studio looks like a broom cupboard with some laserjet printouts sellotaped on for a backdrop.
- Today's finish was fun after two relatively boring days. An aircraft carrier and a hill sprint finish type thing!
- Roger Hammond's a barrel of laughs isn't he?
- Why isn't Peter Sagan wheelying across my screen every 20 minutes?
- More food and drink related crashing. I smell a trend.

ITV's presentation all looks a bit... cheap, doesn't it. Gary Imlach deserves better. I'm sure it wasn't that bad last year...
-
• #44
I suspect it is cheap.
Seriously, the studio must be about 2m wide because they never show anything wider than a double-shot of Imlach and Hammond. Looks like 2 camera at most, plus no expense spent on sending Chris Boardman and Ned Boulting pootling round the routes or spraying each other with hoses.
Oh and facepalm moment. I was confused as to why they were spending so much time riding through a town called "Cabeza de Carrera" on day 2.

Another sprint stage today. Thanks vuelta.

Not exactly the pretty parts of Spain so far.

^and in hindsight Matthews.
Good to see Yates riding well, in the break yesterday and looking comfortable on the front of the peloton on Monday keeping the pace high for Matthews.

^bah. comment not at Ru but at an earlier post listing the sprint contenders. not got the hang of this new forum yet!
