Is your bike some kind of divining rod? Are you picking up water sources or ley lines?

Are you cold?

Is it possible somehow that my bike is picking up vibrations from near cars and stuff?
Are you definitely dead stationary? If you creep forward even a few mm with your brakes not-quite-fully-on you can get weird brake chatter.

shuddering, thinking about the atrocious riding it's just been subjected to

Are you cold?
No. Switch between mtb and single speed sometimes and only get this on the single speed.

Maybe, how do you tell?
during your rides do you exceed the speed of sound ?
Depends, was it a fast or slow sound?

Are they...

Could this be a bike fit issue? Are you putting too much pressure on hands/saddle?

I usually unclip my left foot and then wait with my right still clipped in until I pull away again. Creep forward/back a few mm is always possible so will check the brakes some more.
Any reason my "controlled" indoor stuff wouldn't find that?

No, when stopped I'm out of the saddle and just standing over my bike ready to set off again.

Dunlop frame with omega rims/wheels, charge saddle, deda bullhorns, giant stem random other bits. With any luck my gf will stop paying attention to how many bikes and bike parts are around so I can order a pre cursa frame.
Do people still buy whole bikes?

Jokes are always best when they're explained.
Is it possible somehow that my bike is picking up vibrations from near cars and stuff?
I have my phone mounted on my stem via a spacer thing with a holder so was just thinking it was that making the odd vibration that I was feeling in the bars. Checked phone and it's not that.
Bar tape is the velox stuff so I get a very full feel and this vibration is tiny but bugs me.
Have checked it at home and office and it vanishes hence the outside "noises" and air pressure and things maybe being the cause?
