  • whats with the saddle angle?

  • whats with the saddle angle?

    Answered here:

Saddle angel is due to the shitty notched seatpost thing, but it is pretty comfortable.

  • You got me!

  • thank you darling.

Considering selling this bike now, as I am absolutely fucked for cash :(

  • Apparently all the njs frames are painted in one of 2 places
    https://vimeo.com/20634470

    This is one of them.
I was after some eimei decals messaged tracksupermaket and njs export both said no idea.
Anyone know how to get hold of milky way. If it's still going.

  • Never heard of Milky Way, Uemura Tosou do the painting in Osaka for Nagasawa and I believe I've seen Nakagawa and others too - http://uemura-tosou.com/
Eimei were in Tokyo (last known info メイズカンパニー, 196-0014
東京都昭島市田中町1-9-69 , TEL 042-546-4640, FAX042-546-4653). Could try Tokyo builders who may have old stock, Kalavinka, Makino, Cherubim etc). Likely somewhat hyperbolic the suggestion there's only two painters in the whole of Japan considering there are builders the length and breadth of the islands.

  • Thanks for that I'll contact them. Given that The finishes between builders is remarkable similar that I think completely plausible that there are only a few painter especially as most the builder are either in Osaka or Tokyo.

Hopefully the njs scene has a renaissance of some sort everyone in the game seems to be of retirement age.

  • My makino beater.

  • as always good looking

  • Thanks!

  • Sell me that fork

  • Finished building my beater Iribe, haven't seen one in the thread that I can recall.

  • Anything ever come of this? Would be interested...

  • I never got a reply

  • My Samson Illusion. Bought in 2009 from Dreamworks in Tokyo. I haven’t ridden it much in two years (maybe once or twice). We had an annual fixed ride last week with a lot people I used to ride with and I figured it was a good as time as any to ride this. The quill to threadless adapter, stem and bars were parts bin, but I might get a longer stem and keep this set up because an 85mm stem and wide bars made handling interesting. I’ve got a Nitto Jag stem and some B123’s with Champs grips when I want to make it look almost full NJS. Also hadn’t ridden fixed brakeless for a while, so that was fun.

  • 1x9 njs beater soon done.

  • Rad. How'd you solve the spacing of the frame/wheel?

  • just bended a little bit, had a crash when i was a messenger on that frame, after that it was more like 125mm spacing, 2.5mm each side is not much :)

  • How did you mount the cable stops on the top tube? Have been looking for a clean diy solution myself...

  • spot welded cable stops from an old mtb!

  • sweet - cheers!

  • Is the rear brake drilled with a hole or did u braze/weld in a threaded brake mount thingy?

  • New bridge, og plan was to drill the brigde but it was to tight for a brake.
