*"actually i didn't break it my mate did and he wants his money back and he is a serious guy :/"
*
This is more than a bit wrong -
• #28
I think it makes it clear what a joke clp is.

Surely clp owes his serious mate a refund then. Since when did second hand goods come with a guarantee. If he's running a bike 'business' a he offers some kind of warranty then it's his problem! How very strange indeed.
Shame, I'd love to have bought that disc. -

If you're putting enough force through the hub to break a chainwhip you're 'doing it wrong'. If said hub then separates from the wheel a matter of days later, it's probably not a coincidence, especially if you received the wheel in good working condition-if you were even putting a small amount of lateral force through the hub with the chainwhip then you're going to crack the epoxy that's bonding it together.
That said, can anyone vouch for the fact that sphinx and CLP aren't one and the same?
Regardless countryboj, don't give him any cash back and if he continues to threaten you call the police and let them know-the texts are all the evidence they need to issue a caution.

He's (I think - he just keeps asking if I've still got it, to which I reply 'yes' and then waits a week or so before asking again) trying to buy my bike from me.
Should I avoid?

Yes.

clp on top form...

It may not be entirely fair and reasonable to denigrate him when he is unable to respond or otherwise refute any claims made.
He is banned for another couple of days.
-
• #35
Why not forever? Too much trouble or just for our entertainment? I assume you know you're just going to have to ban him again next time he tries to interact with normal people.
-
• #36
I assume that's going to happen, as people are oddly habitual and usually do repeat their own behaviour.
But, even though it feels inevitable I like to believe that there's always hope, that everyone can learn and adapt, and that we aren't all as predictable as we might appear.
If he gets himself perma-banned, I'd rather that be on the merit of his own actions rather than just because he's got some anger management issues (hell, I'd have had to ban a good chunk of the forum if that were grounds).

Does anyone have an image of the disc being talked about here?
-
• #38
Sigh, he's also been pissing me about for a few weeks. Too busy 'with exams' to come and pick up a frame I'm giving him FOR FREE but not too busy to get himself banned from lfgss.com.

Better to have a look here.

Ah, image doesn't work for me. :(
-
• #41
I'd fockin' deck him
-
• #42
Thankfully I've never had to deal with him but this does seem to be a bit of theme from what I've heard.
My best advice would be don't communicate with him again & record all the texts he sends, if the threat is escalated go to the police. Though the "serious" friend probably has no idea they're being used as a threat if they even exist at all.

• #43
I imagine the unbonding of the hub and disc occurred through excessive skidding and douchebaggery.

Massive belm chancer, avoid at all costs...

He told me the same thing about exams in regards to picking something up he dibs (must be an intense Uni course as this was a few weeks ago), then told me to sort my attitude out when I told him it wasn't cool to dibs and then leave me hanging.
Best to leave him alone. -
• #46
what a dick. Lolz all round.
-
• #47
Good to know. This is one bike that's not going to fucking Weale's Wheels, that's for sure.

As much as I love ripping on the lying muppet as much as the next man, forum boss is right, he's not here to refute the claims at the moment. I would love to see him address all the claims made on here calmly and concisely.
It sounds like there's more than just a few people he's pissed around so I suppose it's a good thing this thread came about. -

Oh dear.
I saw this, unusually shameless profiteering.
Also, is there such a thing as a brick and mortar virtual shop?
