Maybe move this thread to a less conspicuous part of the forum?
-

but if he gets away with it won't he just try repeat on another website ?
The CTC forum has recently been stung the same way, a couple of times... Nice gear, decent prices, friendly replies then a disappearing act as soon as the money has landed.
They now have an 'AdWatch' moderator aimed specifically at new members who join seemingly to sell stuff.

Slander is verbal, if the comment is written it is a libel :)
Forty45, I'd like to direct your attention to this particular High Court ruling http://www.out-law.com/page-9330

Thank you , I stand/sit corrected.

Slander or libel---who cares.
He would need to sue for the damage to his reputation which, clearly does not exist. When he is hustling for a few hundred quid, I can't see him paying serious dosh to a solicitor and barrister to rescue his rep.
The real question is whether we have a obligation to report these activities.
In the USA, this would be really serious stuff. Wire fraud amongst other things (fines plus up to 20 years in jail)
Despite the amounts in this site, he may be doing the same thing with watches, clothing. Jewellery, audio equipment etc.

Does look like young farmers to me. I'm from colchester so will have a dig around with some friends who are/were in young farmers (cringe).
Surely he has seen this thread and realised people are onto him. What a muppet. -

Do a whitepages search for "Charlie Harris" in "Colchester" and a couple of people come up, would go with the 2 CO4 postcodes as the bank someone mentioned seems to be nearest but the other 2 aren't too far out.

Don't do any crazy vigilante stuff, could easily be misinfo.

Looks like he frequents a local gym too...........
probably best not to put charlie z harris bank details up for any nigerian scammer to see ? then again i might get refunded $50, 000,000 as opposed to £25 !
