I ordered a wheelset and an extra rim recently, it was dispatched in two parcels meaning I had to pay two customs processing fees. Not a huge amount of money but could have easily been avoided, it might be worth asking them to make sure your order gets shipped as one, especially considering how great they are with communication/customer service.
I haven't ridden them yet but construction and finish looks great.

Ordered a set of Flo30s last night to be delivered to the other side of the world. Will report back how they arrive and how they fare too. Had to wake up at 2am though!

For what it's worth, delivery from US to Aus was sub 3 weeks from what I recall.

Anyone have any info on when exactly the next order is opening up, the website says early April but that they'll send notification to those who have signed up 10 days before, but I haven't received a notification yet...
FWIW I'm planning on getting them shipped to a friend in the US who will then bring them the rest of the way in the hope of avoiding charges and saving a bit on shipping...
I don't think the flo 30 rims would be far off £80 each by the time they reach here btw.

Yeah delivery is $50 on the cheaper option.
I discounted it straight away. Might as well just buy hed Belgium at that price. -

I've got the Flo30's and the HED Ardennes, would deffo take the Flo30 over the HED.

That's the conclusion I came to, although I'm going more moar aeros, and there isn't really a credible alternative in the price bracket for a disc and deep front wheel, even with shipping and custom charges....

Both the Flo30 and the HED roll and corner in a very similar manner, but the Flo definitely has an aerodynamic (or, I admit, convincing placebo) effect once you start shifting that the HED does not.

Ed I got mine brought back, I'm pretty sure they ended up not much more than £50 for an archetype, I'll check
-
• #138
yeah sure if you ship them to the US and get them brough back they will be good value, but if you get them shipped to the uk and get stung for customs plus processing charges they'll be more.
-
• #139
as the shipping charge within the US is $33 for rims, it looks like they'd work out at about £60 per rim

Also there's import duty at 20% to factor in.
Also, if you buy two rims/wheels then make sure you ask them to ship them as one package. I didn't bother, and they shipped them as two separate packages each declared as the value of both rims, so I got double the import duty. They were very good about refunding the difference (refunded within 2 hours of me requesting they did so), but it would have been easier if it was sent as one.
I think £80 per rim is probably an accurate estimate.

I have photos that prove otherwise..

Delivery to the UK was pretty quick for me, about 10 days by the time I'd pryed them out of Parcelforce's hands. They (jon or chris @flocycling.com) are really friendly and quick with replying to emails. I'm sure they'd let you know exactly when the next order is due to start.
Just to echo @bmx_fred and my post upthread: make sure to ask them to ship your order as one package to avoid extra customs charges.
They are lovely wheels and (literally) sing when you get up to speed

How are people finding the braking surface of the Flo wheels? I'm using koolstops at the moment on mine, do the rims have a shorter usable lifespan, than say, open pros or ksyriums?

Being on the lookout for climbs wherever I can find them, I would rather have the HED any day of the week.

Order 19 starts April 16th

How long from order to delivery?
-
• #149
From the 15 minute order window, it's about 2 weeks until shipping begins. From an email I got it says first wheels will be shipped by 1st May (estimated date).
During checkout, you have the option of going express, however their default delivery service is tracked and rather quick (about a week, see extract from USPS below). This was to Australia, so you can use the assumption that UK will be just as quick, if not faster, because internet.
So work on a total of 3-4 weeks, from clicking buy to unwrapping the well boxed packages.
Edit: also if you need to find out a postage estimate just email the guys, they are very responsive.
Edit2: the order below was placed with Flo on 13 Feb.
