How did people like 4x4, is it the future?
Also have you got scores/stats? -
• #179
Dunno about the future but it was fun. Low scoring as defending was easier with more people to cover the back.

Thanks cam! the plastic cup in the picture is mine, but you're also welcome to that

• #181
A lot of fun but not the future. As rob said, far too easy to defend, too many counter attacking goals.
-
• #182
We did alright with it, best defence all weekend? Only let in 2 yesterday (I scored one) and 2 today.
-
• #183
Not including penalty goals, but I think they should only count if they're through the BB.

Great work this weekend cam and helen! Had a blast. Outdoor center for accommodation is the future. Loved the BBQ fire pit combo. 4v4 might not be the future, but it is fun.

Fuck off josh, the only boring player in the final ;)

I think more players/bigger courts is the future. However whilst we still have limited numbers/facilities we should stick to 3v3. Although there were less goals, I thought the games were more interesting to play in. There were some instances when you'd have 5 /6 players all chasing one ball into the corner/gutter, but better boards and surface would solve this.
Thanks Cam, Helen and Sophia for an awesome weekend. Your hard work was massively appreciated!

I enjoyed penalties.

When do we get all the stats? I hear Badger didn't get any goals all weekend.
-
• #192
Yeah, the first time I saw Badger in the final was when we hugged at the end.
-
• #193
Ah, the hug of consolation.
I am sure Badger has got bored of dishing them out by now.

Thanks Cam and Bells. I had a really nice time and loved the campfire and adventure playground. Definitely up for a polo retreat back in Farnborough soon.
I'm sure there are some aspects of the 4v4 that would improve over time (5 people in one corner) but for the time being I'm happier playing 3v3. I really enjoyed having a couple of games of pickup on Sunday as it let me try 4v4 without worrying about winning which opened things up a bit.
Also, It was the first time I've played in a final and it was pretty intense. Thanks Ryan, Jono & Cam for being great team mates and bringing the good times.
On another note, Robbie stole my toothbrush and toothpaste after I lent them to him so I'm not picking up/ dropping off/buying pints/apologising to anyone on his behalf for the time being.

You lent him a toothbrush? Ewwww
