• Its a really good looking frame! It makes me smile looking at it and would be a great addition to my stable. In all seriousness, let me know if/when you ever decide to part with it!

  • I was told this is a 1986 according to the serial number, FS 1845. It came to me from
California in the USA in 2008.

  • Hi all,

I have a Condor Baracchi with the serial 9396. Anyone now enough about Condor Serials to place this as a Dave Yates built bike?

  • That paint is unreal.

  • It's not yours.

  • Here's his/her frame. Sent it to me in desperation. It's lovely!

Thanks for trying to post it. Maybe @Velocio could delete all your attempts on this page now!

We just want more pics of lovely DY frames...

  • That Condor ATB is great!!

Makes mine look positively dull... and quite compact/modern. Which is Uncool.

  • Hi mate. Thanks for posting your nice Condor.

Esp as you've posted good pics of the head and seat clusters, I'm gonna stick my neck out and say yes, looks like one of Dave's. The fillets are ever so slightly visible at the head tube, as they are on my DY winter bike and many of the frames you see here ^, and the seat cluster is amazingly similar- shot-in stays, external sleeve, similar fillet, and the placement and type of the pinch boss thing.

I think Dave's fillet brazing is much less blobby and generously applied than a lot of frame builders, the fillets are really small.

  • Thanks, it was done by Fat creations.

  • OK so while I'm here, have to admit I just sold my (allegedly) DY-built 531ST EG Bates. :( It was a bit big. Replaced with a thorn, poss by Lee Cooper. And the clearout continues:

I will evntually sell this on the open forum but thought I'd offer it here first - my DY /M Steel tagalong. Mix of bi-laminate and lugged (lovely horned pattern head lugs), natty neon orange with pearl white and navy flashes. For 700c wheel. Saddle very comfy for nippers. Cranks are a very short length, something like 140mm.

Very stable on the move. Custom rack is made of stays so very tough and have carried luggage too whilst towing the kid no problem. I have a pair of older style carradice superC which exactly match the protruding rails on the rack, so happy to pass those on with it.

Paint is now a bit tattier, crazing and whatnot.

Let me know if you're interested.
