  • Hello @DaveYates

Are you able to offer any info on this Spen Velo/M Cycles frame?

It’s got a few oddities- 1” threadless steel fork, 27.0 seatpost, lots of braze on’s including a frame pump peg.

I’m not really sure what type of bike it’s intended to be built as, and have never quite done it justice.

Bb is stamped 7760 and a bit further up also stamped 93 (I think!)

    Thanks

  • Hi Max
7760 was a custom built Super Randonneur in 531DS (Designer Select) for a Spen Velo customer by the name of Firth. Ordered 28/11/94, delivered 03/03/95. The 93 on the bb shell has nothing to do with us. Looks to be a normal set of braze ons for an Audax bike, customers choice for steering column. It is a big frame so I have chosen slightly heavier gauge tubes hence the 27.0 seat pin size.

    Cheers

    Dave Yates
