Let me know a meet-up time at whichever chosen Luton start location.
I'm thinking if I join I'll leave the van at Luton, cycle down, then train back.

i'll get some train times up
do people want to go to the north of luton for the source or would we be happier starting from luton parkway and avoid dithering about in the town just start heading south, could save us an hour

the source isn't much to look at to be fair

I remember a snakey paved bit across some parks etc right at the beginning. Quite nice?

luton parkway > luton ( central ) > leagrave .. on the north side of town

as for arriving in hertford it's probably going to be mid afternoon 2-3pm give or take an hour
i don't have a mobile maybe starfish and coffee can pm you his deets and we can try you once we have an idea of timing / once we near hertford
the middle section up to hertford can be a bit slow as it gets a bit convoluted in parts
the route has beebn gradually honed from the first timer i did it where we tried to follow the river a closely as possible and ending up in swamps and golf courses climbing fences etc these days it's mostly riding !!
