a bump for weds
what time and where, did you have in mind john ?
We need to drop off kid at 9:00 up in Finchley then was thinking of getting train from West Hampstead to Luton between 9:30-10:00, meaning 10:00/10:30 is the earliest we can get there.
Is it just the Farringdon - Luton line that goes to Luton?
-
• #103
howard got another line out of london but not sure if it met up with the luton trains eventually ?
-
• #104
Ah, without changing.
-
• #105
We'll probably hop on at West Hampstead, arrive Luton 10:30 latest.
-
• #106
You can get there from st pancras I believe, what used to be the midland mainline trains... First stop on the express, probably not very helpful...
-
• #107
Well, Luton is the first stop. You'd then need to go up the line to Leagrave, no?
-
• #108
The trains through Farringdon go directly to Leagrave.
-
• #109
Is Leagrave 'Luton' main station?
-
• #110
no, the one after the main station, north of central luton
-
• #111
The trains through Farringdon go directly to Leagrave.
They do. I was referring to the East Midlands line trains from St Pancras.
So:
Direct from West Hampstead
Direct from St Pancras (Thameslink - so Farringdon et al, too)
Luton then change / rideout from St Pancras (East Mids) -
• #112
Ah yeah, the difference between the upstairs and downstairs stations at st pancras. My bad.
-
• #113
Anyone (or two) want to meet K and I tomorrow, West Hampstead 9:30 for ticket groupsave?
-
• #114
i'll head direct to leagrave
rough idea of time at leagrave ? -
• #115
We will be there by 10:30 latest.
-
• #116
ok lets aim for 10.30 at leagrave
-
• #117
I'm going to try to catch that train linked above at Peckham Rye @ 9:09. But If I get stopped re bike then I'm screwed. If I fail I'll let Ma3k know I'm out.
-
• #118
9:44 from farringdon gets to leagrave at 10:27 I'll be on that one
or the 9:32 arriving at 10:15 -
• #119
skully, if need be, tell them you're getting off before central. That can help sometimes...
-
• #120
Or just say 'I'm going out of town' - no need to mention in which direction!
-
• #121
Oh actually maybe I'll try to get the farringdon train - def after nine-thirty, which is the cutoff for rush hour restrictions, right?
-
• #122
dicki pm me yr number?
-
• #123
Dicki is 'off grid'
-
• #124
Looks like last time it took 7 hours to get from the start to finish. I need to be home by 4, which seems unlikely.
-
• #125
You could ride 11-3, find a train station ...
Who's up for groupsave from Farringdon?
10am at st pancras ?
;-)
