  • How's the coffee weaning going, Clive?

Doctor Quim - I mean Quinn - sounds good. I'm impressed you are sitting with the hunger and keeping to her plan. Keep it up!

  • I have no alternative. Very public dieting is one way to enforce the discipline. I dare not slip.

Went cold turkey on coffee. Can't distinguish between my feeling of starvation and my lack of caffeine. That said, the improvements are noticeable and I really want to crack this once and for all. I will succeed.

  • Well done Clive, great blog and good luck with it all.

  • Good luck Clive. Sounds like you're having a lot of fun doing this.

  • More than fun I think satisfaction.

  • Good reading blog - lots of food for thought one way or another!

V jealous of (bits of the trip) went cycling around the Tuscany coast and further north near the lakes last year and it was beautiful riding. Totally conquered my fear of hills cycling up mountains in Tuscany and in both bits motorists gave cyclists loads of space and I never felt threatened, even on unknown roads.

    Enjoy!

  • cycling around the Tuscany coast and further north near the lakes

    Enjoy!

All that area is a paradise, especially compared to the south.

  • Episode 6 in which I cease to be obese and find my clothes no longer fit:

  • Amazing. Well done Clive. Sounds like I could do with seeing this Dr Quinn :/

So what's your team nick name then?

  • I don't have one. Clive as a name has, throughout my life, obviated the need for any nick name.

If I were to have one I would imagine it would be Fat Bastard, soon to be amended simply to Bastard.

  • Well done Clive, good luck and keep going.

  • I don't have one.

Yes you do, we just never told you.

    #redtrousers

  • Well done Clive!

  • Clive, I don't agree on your clothing theory. Wait a bit more, then get a top noch suit, for you maybe a Corneliani, light grey I suggest, fresh and sporty. Make sure it fits perfectly, the shape is the first thing to consider while you're in the fitting room. The shop is in New Bond St. and they will tailored it specifically for you. later, watch yourself on the mirror, enjoy your results, enjoy the quality, and you'll be much more motivated to stick with it...

  • Made in Mantova.

  • You need to get a pair of scissors and wack a few extra holes in your belt. #allclass

  • Episode 7 of my training blog in which the sun shines and i ride bikes.

  • 'It's Clive, Jim, but not as we know it.'

  • Ware?

    Never gets old.

  • Clive is travelling, but here's his latest instalment;
