  • Have you considered psycho training?

  • But seriously, it is definitely one of the more ... shall we say ... dafter ideas thrown up by this forum, and that's saying something.

  • I'm phoning the police right now

  • Would you like the names of our employers, so you can let them know, too?

  • yes that'd be perfect, thanks

    5. Shoosh
    6. Hairnet

Got name and place number, WIN!

  • I'm confused, how is the intent of this ride and the intent of sexism & racism comparable? if you're comparing the outcome of both.

  • And do you think, if someone appeared visibly disturbed by being followed, we wouldn't either a) explain what was going on and b) apologies and stop??

You'd have to catch them first!

I like the idea. I just wonder if it might pan out slightly differently from how you envisage. 20 minutes is quite a long time to be tailed (most of the way home) and it's not like a ski resort where you expect to see the same people repeatedly.

  • .

  • Mands I'd suggest limiting the numbers so this doesn't end up with 50 people tailing some poor unsuspecting sod home to his front door.

Booze themed/centric rides are hardly smart either, but still a popular draw round here.

Like many things in life, if it upsets you/you don't like the sound of it, give it a swerve, eh?

I'd be way less worried if a huge number of people were following me rather than say half a dozen. Plain sight and all!

  • You may be right.
    I'll shut up now.

  • Every night I ride home I feel surrounded by flouro nodders who appear to be following me...

This sounds like an interesting idea but you must be well behaved. Harassment = no go.

Having said that Mand's Wards ride was great...

    Good luck

  • Half of the Wards ride attendees were completely in black so already have their ninja rigs for this one sorted...

  • Yeah large crowd is totally non-suspicious because ffs full daylight and obviousness? I would personally find it hilarious, but maybe that's just me...

  • Just follow a nodder; they never look behind. No probs.

  • Greetings finger_jockey,
I was following you this morning but couldn't catch you on the Nappy Valley Super-Highway

  • Gah, busted for not looking-behind myself! Belated greetings to you too Sir.

  • it is a brilliant idea for a ride apart from the fact that that it risks scaring the followed, or worse causes them to try to drop you and have massive crash trying to escape a perceived threat.

I am guessing that it will be a lazy ambling ride, where we are well back and nodding along, not some race to catch the person.

Lazy ambling ride = I am still in.
    Otherwise no,

  • jeez you spout some shit at times. You don't like the concept of a ride don't join in, ignore it, find something better to do.

  • Likening it to the systematic cultural discrimination and oppression of minority groups by a privileged majority is maybe taking it a bit far, though.

  • jeez: ^
