The problem is going the other way i.e. it's too short. Simply get it cut and re-threaded innit.

  • You still got the Time fork?

  • Yes I have the time fork.

    Price drop, too:

    £85

  • Price drop on

    to £110

  • Do you know the tire clearance for the Time?
Does it take low reach caliper?
    Thanks

  • I've used a 25 with no problem at all. I've used it with a Dura Ace 7900 calliper with no problem at all.

  • Interested in the remaining wound up fork. I don't suppose you can measure the internal diameter of the steer tube or see if you can insert a quill stem and clamp it in can you? I know it's not threaded. Let me know multi grooves. Cheers.

  • that just wont work very well at all - you need vertical compression from either the threaded headset or the top cap, spacers and stem combo. A quill stem provides no vertical compression so your steerer will be looser than (insert dysphemism) which will result in mashing headset/steerer/head tube etc.....

basically you're gonna have a bad time

  • Yeah I know all that I'm not stupid. I've come up with a steer tube extender which is the same diameter as a quill stem so I want to know if it will fit.

  • 20.40mm

  • DIBS remaining wound up forks.
