Boo.
How about 16/17 August? And Ben, what about the Exmouth Exodus in a couple of weeks? That could scratch your deluxe itch.
Thanks for the nice ride last night everyone. Good one to do in summer when you can pause at the top of Box Hill in the dusk light. It all seems to be quite straightforward, until you hit Ranmore at the end! I was also a big fan of the cycle path and cyclocross underpass section. It wasn't long enough to be a pain, and added some nice variety.
Will miss you all next week. Will be back in August.
PS. Is there a less onomatopoeic word in the English language than crepuscular?

oh yeh thought our time was up riding through richmond park when we crept up on a load of stags and my blimming squeeky breaks went off. fortunately it didn't startle them but it could have been a close shave! won't be going through the park at night again.
also a young couple were walking through the park in the pitch black at 1am. wtf is that about. they couldn't see a thing!

The ride broke me a bit so I thought I'd take the geared bike to work. Non-drive side crank came loose about half way so rode the rest one legged, I suppose once I've tightened the crank bolt up I should ride home using just the left leg to even things out.

The local doctor to my in-laws did that once, only from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and back!

Just remembered, I saw a badger last night. On the fast run into the pub in Effingham it shot across the road ahead of me.
