A long shot, but I don't suppose the three of you would want to break with convention and ride this on Thursday? I'm busy tomorrow.
-
• #529
I would prefer Wed but I could do Thur if it suits the others. Got the impression that KT Bee could only do Tue or Wed and as she suggested it I think she gets to pick.

• #530
Yeah, Thursday is a non-starter for me, sorry.

Which week?

Wow, and I thought today was a long day - sounds like booking tomorrow off work could be a bargain.

Bump - this will be fun. Weather looks amazing!

No more takers? Is weekly too often then, or is it just the short notice?
-
• #536
You wouldn't really expect people to object to wearing shorts at this time of year, would you?
-
• #537
Oh, Oliver, short and shorts, doesn't quite work. I am disappointed and as a punishment you are no longer allowed to ride with us this time.
-
• #538
Well, I'm looking forward to it. I have garmin, so can ride alone - though company much better.
-
• #539
I'm still in and with blowfish too we have enough for a groupsave. Anything more is gravy.
-
• #540
Get Groupsave 4 please.

Great route, great sunset, 2(!) pub stops, and a close encounter of the deer kind (badgers are so 2013).
Thanks all

yup it was an eventful ride
and thanks for the biscuit/ flapjack.. it was a lifesaver =)

Thank you very much. Getting much better at riding and beer. What happened? Was thinking about deer when bombing down the Epping Road with my new light on its highest setting.

It was just after we diverged from you heading down the hill, KTBee was ahead of us and suddenly starts shouting and slowing up rapidly. I could just about make out some sort of movement on the road, took a few seconds to realise it was a herd of deer crossing in the pitch dark. Could have been nasty if K hadn't been so sharp, not one of them was wearing hi-viz or even a helmet.

Time to start the 'Is it time to call out bad deer?' thread.
Looking forward to next week!

So, time for some hills then?
