Home sweet home!
The latest biopsy results came back as positive as ever, (they give you a new heart and then take it back wee piece by wee piece!). The docs and physios are super happy with my progress and how quickly I'm adapting to the new heart. I've been told to slow down though as they don't want me pushing it. Im out of the wheel chair now and my legs are getting stronger, able to walk a good 25mins before I need a nap... Saying that Cambridgeshire is much flatter than the Cotswolds so let's see how I handle some of these hills!
I had a good chat with the physios about getting some rollers/turbo for the house and they were well keen on the idea, so I might not be allowed on the road for another 2 months but at least I can try to get some of my fitness back, from the comfort of my own front room whilst watching Jeremy Kyle and Loose Woman.
So yet again a massive thanks for all the love, messages, cards and presents! I can't stress how awesome they've been and how they've helped keep me positive through all the drama and excitement. Alice's parents are picture framers and are going to do the LPC card justice. Will get a pic up here once it's safely on the wall reminding me of you all, what's happened and far we've come.
Big love from me and Alice.
See you all in Bristol!
