Nothing. You can position the cable as you wrap the bar.

I know that @mdcc_tester would go for mini-Vs if he had road levers and cantilever bosses - which is what I'll have soon - but is there a tester approved set of mini-V brakes please?

I'm a big Tektro/TRP fan myself and Tektro 926AL seem to have a very good rep (and are cheap as chips). But I'd still be interested in what the oracle has to say!

Tektro are OK but I think the Shimano Sora & Tiagra ones are better. TRP are strictly #tartmode

Good for the price, but the difference when you try the (more rigid) TRP/Shimano brakes is very clear.

I could set myself up as a sort of budget/incompetent version of Tester.

Big market for this kind of advice.

This would be of interest to me. Tester's advice is often too sensible and accurate for me and he's usually out of my price range.

Apparently the CO2 mines are empty, so they're redundant tech now.

Glad I'm not the only one. I look at the 'lil shiny canisters with bemusement and reverence like they're an artefact from a distant galaxy that I'll one day know more about.

Every time I’ve witnessed someone with a CO2 canister get a flat, they fuck up and need to borrow my pump.

I just get pissed off seeing them lying by the road. That and nitrous oxide canisters...
